Pest Control Enforcement Advisory Council

The Pest Control Enforcement Advisory Council (PCEAC) advises the Department on pest control enforcement issues.   This council serves as a statewide forum for the coordination of pest control related activities to eliminate duplication of effort and maximize protection of the public.

The Pest Control Enforcement Advisory Council consists of 11 members.  Membership is one representative of Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services; a citizen not involved in the conduct of pest control; eight persons each holding a pest control operator's certificate issued under Chapter 482.111, Florida Statutes, of whom two shall be actively involved in general household pest control, two shall be actively involved in structural fumigation, and two shall be actively involved in lawn and landscape pest control; two actively involved in termite control; and a state university urban entomologist.

 The Council operates under the authority of Chapter 482.243, Florida Statutes.
